"I love my job as a Public Health School Nurse and have been with Catawba County Public Health for 18 years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Appalachian State University and have my National Certification in School Nursing. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 28 years and have had the opportunity to work in various nursing fields, including Industrial Nursing, family medicine and the hospital setting. Being a part of the school team has been a wonderful way to promote wellness and prevention of health issues.
When not working, I love to work in the yard and be outdoors, as well as knit/crochet, weave, sew, spin wool (on a real spinning wheel), paint and read. Baking brings me joy and is a great way to relax and de-stress. I have 3 amazing dogs that also keep me busy; Finley, Ava Lorraine and Franklin (aka Franklinstein)."
